The show is up to series four already – following the adventures of three room-mates who share a house in the hills of Silverlake. They’re bears in the gay scene sense of the word – big, hairy, gay men. Nelson (Zook), Wood (Dietl), and Reggie (Copp) are drawn into murder investigations as friends and acquaintances meet an untimely end.

The comedy is silly and over-the-top, and the acting is far from subtle, but this show is a lot of fun. What’s refreshing is that it presents bearish gay guys as desirable, and the bear lifestyle as aspirational. It’s also a very sex-positive show – these are guys who talk about sex and have sex in a very open and everyday way.
Worth watching.
